My best memory of Balls Mahoney was watching him main event a show against Sabu for some tiny indy promotion at a gym right down the street from me in 2003. First indy show I've ever gone to, actually. They basically just brawled all over the gym and in the stands, bludgeoned each other with weapons, etc. I was 14 then so at the time watching something like that live felt like the coolest thing ever.
