The show was scheduled for 8/20 at the Barclays Center, the first of three straight nights WWE was running the building with NXT, SummerSlam and Raw. All three nights sold out last year, and last year's NXT show drew easily the biggest crowd in NXT history with more than 13,000 fans.

On Tuesday, WWE officials said that Ticketmaster would be updating the page with new logos and information and that the show is still on.

When it appeared that the next major show had disappeared, there were performers in NXT concerned yesterday because they haven't been told anything, and the 6/8 TakeOver show is billed as "The End".
Update to the recent NXT rumors.

He did an interview with IGN you can see here. WWE definitely wants you to think that Goldberg returning is a possibility.

There is renewed interested by WWE in bringing back John Morrison.

He is someone Vince McMahon has asked people around him about, at least to find out if he’s under contract to a wrestling organization. Morrison is under contract to Lucha Underground and it is not publicly known when a deal would even be possible.

Morrison, who performs as Johnny Mundo for Lucha Underground, said in January that he could see himself returning to WWE one day.

“When I was at WWE I wrestled everyone on the roster and I left because I felt it was time for me to go,” he told Channel Guide Magazine. “I did have plans on going back at some point. I still think that could happen. You never know what could happen in professional wrestling.”

The stadium show has featured over the years the biggest independent stars available, including names like Ric Flair and Hulk Hogan, and usually draws in excess of 3000 fans.

Rhodes, by the terms of his WWE contract release, will be allowed to start working under his name on 8/19, and earlier this week, he posted a bucket list of what his goals were. Another of his bucket list items, the Battle of Los Angeles put on by PWG, is usually held at about that same time each year.

According to Ringside News, Vince wants The Undertaker to appear at WWE SummerSlam at the end of the summer. He did work the event last year in a match with Brock Lesnar, but he’s apparently not willing to work SummerSlam this year; at least, that’s the impression. Undertaker has not returned any of McMahon’s phone calls regarding the situation ...

He is reportedly telling those close to him that he is not willing to work another match after McMahon asked him to lose to Shane McMahon at WrestleMania. Undertaker refused to job to the boss’ son, which resulted in the weird storyline result we ended up getting. Due to the issue over the match, Undertaker is not interested in working another match for the company ...

However, most within the company felt that The Undertaker would want to work again after a bit of time away. Vince McMahon hoped this more than most, and although Undertaker is a professional, he did get upset with the ordeal at WrestleMania. Vince respected Undertaker enough to not have him lose to Shane after he decided against it, but the fact that it got so heated likely means there is more to the story than this.

McMahon is apparently trying to smooth things over with Undertaker, but the Deadman isn’t really allowing him to do so as he is allegedly ignoring the Chairman at this time. The former World Champion has an interesting contract that requires him to work only one match a year minimum to get his downside guarantee. Basically, his contract asks him to perform once and he’ll get paid for the rest of the year.
Recent rumors regarding Taker-Vince relations souring. Suppossedly the way Taker's contract was done means the WWE can "freeze" the contract similar to what they did with Rey Mysterio and Daniel Bryan to prevent Taker from leaving. http://www.inquisitr.com/3143446/wwe...r-likely-over/

It is quite possible that the presiding Judge in the case, Kelly L. Banach will make an official determination over whether Snuka understands the crimes against him and is competent to stand trial to face those crimes.

So all of these things by normal standards of decision making, you go "you know what, he's not the guy, we thought he was the guy but he's not". But they are bound and determined that he's the guy to the point of muting Seth Rollins, turning AJ Styles. I mean I loved the turn, but at most of the house shows AJ Styles was getting the better reaction than Roman Reigns. I mean there were some shows were Roman got better reactions, but generally AJ was getting a better reaction. And on TV it's night and day who's getting better. We can all come up with excuses night and day on why something is gonna work but the litmus test on who's gonna get over is if you give them a chance they get over, and that's it. Everything else, whether it's saying some women will like him or he's got a good body or he has a good promo, all these things are factors but not as important You can learn from it, but to go in there and just say because he's a good looking guy and he can be a role model for the company so he's gonna get over, I mean they've had a year plus and it's just not working Maybe Seth would be better, and if it didn't work for Seth then you can turn him back heel. This isn't the time for Seth to be heel, and now people are being told to hate him it's just falling flat
From a recent Observer Radio episode on why it was dumb of the WWE to make Seth Rollins a heel and Reigns struggling carrying the company. The last line looks even worse considering the recent documentary the WWE did for Rollins.

Some other sheet news includes:
  • RAW ratings and viewership numbers for this week are delayed due to yesterday being a holiday. Likely won't be good considering early numbers for last night's NBA playoff game was the highest ever on cable.
  • Enzo and Big Cass were this week's guests for ESPN's WWE/wrestling segment.
  • Recent episode of The Ringer podcast show had Goldberg as its guest. https://soundcloud.com/channel33/ep-...wrestling-with
  • Recent media appearance John Cena had on The Today Show included debates on if a hot dog is a sandwich and the status of the taco in terms of delicacy foods. http://www.f4wonline.com/wwe-news/jo...-return-213666
  • According to the Observer, if the WWE wanted to drop the 3rd hour for RAW, it would cost them around $26-$30 million in lost revenues and tv money.
  • WWE announced the next public tour of their Performance Center will occur on July 25th. http://www.pwinsider.com/article/102...-2k17.html?p=1
  • In a "WWE Did You Know" type fact, baring any sudden changes/injuries, Roman Reigns' will end up tied for 3rd in WWE history for most main events in a row at 8. Will tie Cena (did it twice) and Stone Cold (did it in 1998) while Rock is #2 at 9 main events in a row (2000) and Stone Cold is #1 at 11 in a row (1998-1999).
  • In another "WWE Did You Know" type fact, Charlotte is currently around 47 days away from tying Nikki Bella's record for longest Divas/Women's champion reign in modern WWE history. Baring any sudden decisions, she'd break before Battleground 2016 ppv.
  • NWA announced they are relaunching their Network-like service along with the debut of a new website. As part of the announcement, they are also offering a free week of NWA Classics to new subscribers. http://www.nwaondemand.com
