Shawn was just himself but as a born-again Christian, whereas I got the impression Mordecai was supposed to be more of a religious zealot/crusader/prophet type guy with probably more parallels in his character to Undertaker if anybody.
I mentioned HBK because they played up the contrast between Taker and Michaels going into their WM match right down to the promos, Shawns entrance and his attire and music or at (least the first half) I meant the visual aspect (though I did say whole gimmick my bad)
