• Match of the night for me was Sheamus/Cesaro but the way it finished was just so bad. Also, what was the point of the security guard going down with them and then just lying there like he had just been shot? He wasn't even mentioned by Cole & Co. and nobody went to check up on him, so it just made things look a bit silly.
The only thing I can think of for what happens next, is that Foley gives both men a shot at the United States Championship, so at Hell in a Cell we have a Triple Threat match. If that or something like that happens though, it'll be a bit on the annoying side as it'll mean the the last seven matches between Sheamus and Cesaro was completely pointless.
• What on earth was TJ Perkins' theme and what does it have to do with his character? A theme that distinctive has to be relatable to his character. Is he a video game character? Is he a video game addict? Does he think he's in a copy of WWF No Mercy when he wrestles? If none of those, then why does he have chiptune as his entrance theme?
I'm assuming that with his theme, his attire being in the style of those silly jodhpurs that I've seen people wearing recently and the fact he does that stupid pose that I've seen in "popular & internet culture", that his character is just a guy who's "really cool". And when is say "really cool", I mean "internet cool".
Last night was the first time I saw him in action and he really strikes me as being "Evan Bourne 2K16". The match was alright though but I can't help but feel a bit disappointed with the Cruiserweight Division so far but it is early days.
Also, what's with all the purple? It's getting to reach "Sin Cara Mood Lighting" heights of annoying now.
• In a weird way, I'm happy that Rusev lost the title. Rusev has been nothing but gold these past few months and I feel that with him no longer champion, that he can go on to better things, like being the Universal Champion. I'm still standing by my claim that Rusev will have won the Universal Championship by SummerSlam 2017.
Now that Reigns is US Champion, I'm curious to see what kind of champion he'll be. A part of me is hoping he'll do what Cena did when he was US Champion. I actually liked Cena during his US Title run. I think the US Championship will be good for Reigns and his relationship with the fans. Staying around the mid-card scene and being an upper-midcarder will probably help the fans cool off from hating him as much as they do. He'll always have his critics but I think some time with the US Championship will help him.
• Overall, the event was good, but with the fact that Raw is three hours long and so are Raw Branded PPVs, and add in that the stage is the exact same as Raw's, I don't get the feeling that I'm watching a PPV. Clash of Champions just felt like I was watching Raw but with less promos.
SmackDown Branded PPVs are kind of the same but what makes their PPVs feel like PPVs is that they're three hours long, whereas SmackDown is only two hours long, so it still has a little of that PPV feel to it. It also helps that SmackDown is genuinely enjoyable to watch.
