I never thought the Rangers were that good. Much like the Orioles, their run differential wasn't very good and my belief is you can't outrun barely outscoring your opponent. Especially when you hit the playoffs.

Texas got to beat up on the sorry Angels and Athletics. Toronto beat up on the Rays but every other team in their division was in the hunt. And the Rangers, while deserving because the game ain't won on paper, were not, imo, as good as the other division winners or Toronto.

I thought they matched up well with Baltimore, a similarly constructed team. But not Toronto, who yielded a strong rotation and deep as fuck lineup.
