For anyone arguing that the crowd was more invested in Trish and Lita's characters, the crowd was more invested into EVERYTHING back then. I feel WWE is in a rebuilding phase right now where the crowd has been made used to being disappointed, but there's some REALLY good stuff going on right now, especially between the ropes. Not to beat the PG horse either, but the Trish/Lita crowds were older/livelier than the kid-based crowds of today. It's not a fair comparison, and if you're looking at the bell-to-bell work in those matches, Charlotte and Sasha leave Trish and Lita in the dust by a substantial margin.

We can all be entertained if we allow ourselves to be.
