TEAM wins matter. Pitcher wins are an archaic stat that no longer hold any value. If you have two guys who have the a near identical earned run average, why is it that one got more wins than the other? They're giving up the same amount of runs.

Its because a pitcher cannot control how many runs his team scores, or if a bullpen blows a lead, etc. Wins are silly. There are so many other stats, advanced and basic, that are more indicative of performance than wins.
