Actually, I saw most of them on late night cable. Also, I have a membership at an arthouse theater which shows mostly classics and foreign films. Libraries are full of the high praised low distribution type films which populate the IMDB top 250, plus being free
, I own 1 DVD and borrow a few several times a week. I have taken a few cinema courses at university where we watched movies for credits and have a card at a video store that specializes in foreign films. My friend gave me a couple of books a few christmases ago which listed cult and classic films, which I used to pick some of the movies I wanted to see. I also used to subscribe to Film Comment and American Cinematographer which often made reference to films listed on the 250. All in all it added up. Unfortunately, I've also been caught watching some of the bottom 250 as well, but all in all....
