I've never bought the whole "this person has X-amount views and X-amount subscribers" thing as a way of measuring someones online success and status as a "celebrity".

For all we know, a good whack of those subscribers could be spam accounts and people's old accounts (or multiple old accounts) along with their new (or newest) accounts.

As for the views, I really doubt the number of views applies to each individual. If a video has a million views, I doubt exactly one million individuals watched that video. People watch videos more than once, which contributes the the view count each time one person watches the video again and again.

So all these numbers that get thrown around when "YouTube Celebrities" are spoken about mean nothing to me, as the number is most likely way smaller when in reference to individuals.
