Neither were as successful in the WWE as they were in other places but felt Malenko was better in terms of in-ring skills while Taz was better with promos and as the overall package.
Taz had one of the best ever WWE debuts while also being a great example of Heyman's wrestling philosophy of focusing more on a wrestler's strengths (Taz's tough guy look and style) than their weakness (Taz being small for a typical "beast" or top star).
