The Taz-Triple H match was pretty much an indicator of how Vince really felt about Taz. Made it seem like Taz was worthy to be Triple H's equal by hyping up as a champ vs champ match with the WWE title on the line but in the end just became another moment for the WWE to ridicule their opposition. Vince claimed to regret it but doubt he was sincere considering how he treated ECW when it came back as a brand years later.
Never really managed to reach the same level as his debut and that Triple H match afterwards.
