Honestly... and this isn't just me shitting on WWE for the fuck of it... But I genuinely think they do things that are intentionally retarded to the point where they're probably just trying to get attention for being so awful. This is one of them. I find it more plausible that everyone agreed that "Great Balls of Fire" blends in with the plan of "We're gonna make people hate stuff so much that they feel the need to talk about how awful it is" than I do that Vince decided "Great Balls of Fire" was genuinely a good PPV name and everyone just kinda went along with it. There have been other examples of this to strengthen the theory. But this might be the most glaring one.

Considering the last decade and a half... this theory isn't that crazy.
