Just got back. Enjoyed it a lot. It was slower than I thought it would be, but not in a bad way. Very good slow burn. Many more memorable characters than Prometheus. They did a good job there.

We don't get anymore real insight into the engineers or their motivations, but I wasn't expecting any, since this is a focus on the alien and scott has several more films planned. We do learn a lot more about the alien though.

Doesn't match the tension of the first film, but that's like saying "hey that painting you did is aweaome, but it's not as good as the Sistine Chapel". The scary parts continue the tone in Prometheus. More about suspense and unnerving imagery, with plenty of gore.

Only gripe
SPOILER: show
You could see the Walter/David twist at the end coming a mile away. It was so predictable that I wish they would have just shown David putting on Walter's clothes. That said, the reveal is still great because it's executed well, and fassbender is amazing.
