Del Rio/El Patron being a dumbass during GFW's investigation with the Paige domestic violence situation turned a potential reinstatement this week into another indefinite suspension again for him.
Rumors were GFW was going to reinstate him for this week's set of tv tapings because they didn't want another month of no GFW World champ for Impact but got pissed at his recent attitude and him publicly boasting of GFW wanting him back soon. They decided to just strip him of the title and keep him suspended instead as punishment.

Also probably not going to be happy of him trying to say on Instagram it was entirely his idea to be stripped of the title and not something GFW wanted to do or had plans for.
