If WWE was smarter, they would have used the name as a regular PPV tier event
and have it as the big show to end the year and/or add an extra month for Road to Mania stuff.
They've already got about 16 or 17 actual PPVs though. They know what they're doing to go to Greensboro and use a WCW PPV name, bring in the hometown Hardy's and add WCW and NWA legends on the advert with Ricky Steamboat and the Rock N Roll Express.

It'll use the cheaper house show set, likely sell out which Live events having been doing (even MSG) and provide content for the Network. Not a bad move all round.
