It's great storytelling, and no amount of losses will ever be able to take away from what Nakamura has already achieved in the WWE.

In fact, they could probably have Nakamura lose to more people and make lots of stars. They can always just rebuild Nakamura by saying "He's beaten both John Cena and Randy Orton." That means more than the WWE Title ever could.
