I've likened him to Stone Cold Steve Austin in my mind. I know that's a lofty comparison, and I don't really mean in terms of talent or style. But when looking at Steve Austin's career, you might have always seen that something was there, but you just knew it was stifled by his environment or whatever. I'd never have guessed that he would have become the biggest star of all-time though.
In Rusev, there's this intangible quality to him that makes me think that if he were allowed to go, he might actually draw people's attention into wrestling. It's his charisma and the mind he seems to have for the simple things, I think. He's been involved in some shit, but he always polishes that turd up as pretty as he can. I get the feeling that there's something "exponential" about him that, if unchained, would make him bigger than it would be reasonable to predict.
