Watching Paige's retirement speech kinda reminded me that I was in attendance when Edge announced his retirement. Different circumstances since Paige's injuries had been known for a while, but still.

Edge was always one of my faves but I didn't agree at all with him beating Del Rio at WM27. Pretty much totally killed Del Rio's early momentum, although you can trace the recent trend of everyone losing at their first Mania back to him. Maybe even earlier than that (Sheamus did the job at WM26).

But still......to see one of my faves retire a week after he retained the title at Mania was so fucking sad/surreal to sit through. Kept waiting for Edge to get jumped and have the whole thing revealed as an angle but it never came.
Sheamus just lost to Triple H because Triple H considers himself a "big star" and thinks that counts as giving someone the rub. I didn't agree with the Del Rio loss at the time, either, but I also disagree with two World Titles and the Royal Rumble being used for the B-program. And Del Rio has turned out to be a disappointment. Retroactively I don't feel sorry for him.
