Pretty sure you know the reason; that half the time the "new posters" are just socks of former and current ones. Happens often enough that folks 'round these here parts don't readily accept that it could be a new person for understandable reasons. It usually comes out in the wash, though. Honestly, I'm surprised at the lack of accusation when I joined. Then again, when I actually signed up, there was that one guy who had that hard-on for Xero for no reason, so I likely slipped through the cracks back then.
