I'd be all for Show actively competing between now and WM 35 as a way to acknowledge and celebrate his 20 years in WWE.
Maybe he comes up 2nd or 3rd in the 2019 men's RR. A feud between he and the person who eliminated him starts, he gets a retirement stipulation for a match with his nemesis at WM 35 and comes up just short and is given a few minutes to make a tearful and heartfelt farewell speech. You could then make him the headline guy of the WWE HoF Class of 2020.
