I've always liked Christian and I absolutely loved the guy during his 2003-2005 run on Raw when he cut his hair and started calling his fans "his Peeps" and so on.

It's probably the best he's ever been in my opinion.

I've always kinda felt that his move to SmackDown in 2005 did more bad than good for him, as he seemed to just disappear on SmackDown and he didn't really do anything noteworthy during his time there.

He didn't even with a single championship.

As for his look, I've never viewed him as being "rat-faced" and I think his best look was when he cut his hair in 2003 up until he left WWE in 2005. I've mentioned this here before but being at TNA seemed to have done something to him, as when Christian returned to WWE from TNA, he looked different. He looked thinner (especially his calfs) and there must have been something in the water at TNA because his skin looked really yellow. He looked like he had jaundice.

He just generally didn't look healthy at all.

His promos weren't the same too. In fact, they were pretty much the exact opposite of what they were like before he left WWE. His promos after he returned in 2009 came across as a bit mediocre and he always delivered his promos in a somewhat "monotone shouting voice" and he just didn't appear to have the same "swagger" or confidence with the mic that he did before he left.

Even though he was somewhat successful in TNA, I've always felt a little bit that TNA really "hurt him" and "brought him down" and kinda "devalued him" in a way, as he was better than TNA but he went there and it appeared (to me at the time of his WWE return) that TNA really rubbed off on him during his three years there and he just wasn't the same Christian he was before he went to TNA.

He never really seemed to "fully recover" from that (in my opinion) during his second time in WWE up until his retirement.

I still like the guy though and I do still feel that he was a big wasted talent during his time in WWE.
