I'm looking forward to it because I enjoy seeing different sports. I hate the jingoism of the media. You'd think listening to the British and American media (and I am sure that is the same in Australia) that these were the only countries competing.
The Olympics are totally corrupt. Rife with drug taking cheats and prima-donna's but there are also some good things about it. I like the fact that sports like Archery get a bit of attention.
So anyway, what do people think about the Olympics, what events are people looking forward to?

Now you know as well as I do that every country is going to put over their own stars and concentrate on their own athletes. Nobody in Britain could give a toss about how many medals China or Russia or Gambia win. British people want to watch British athletes. Same goes for every other country. You think people in Romania want to see the British?
As for the Swimming coverage, don't know about ESPN or any other station but all I saw on the Beeb this morning was Ian Thorpe.
