Bryan was always going to put Kofi over. There's no way he would have gone for beating him. What's going to be interesting is where they go with him.
I really don't want them to turn Big E. The guy is lovable as a babyface. He's got a colorful vibe to him, and his antics are always fun and his matches have much better energy as a babyface. It's rare you find a dude built like that who makes an excellent babyface. Turning him heel and putting him in darker colors and making him a mopey bitter heel like everyone else is just...man, don't do it. It will be like turning Rikishi in 2000.
Have a heel cut down Kofi at some point, and Big E gets vengeance for that. Brock would be perfect for that. But Drew could do it as well. Even Orton. But Brock vs. Big E could be a great WWE Title program down the line. And you don't need to rush it off Kofi or anything. Just don't piss all over their goodwill with the fans to turn your routine story that no one is going to genuinely believe in anyway.
