Obviously didn't get to watch but it seems like I too missed a really good show. Hopefully the price point comes down a bit. I'll spend 30 on the occasional PPV but not more than that and I don't care if it's a PPV of God vs Satan for control of mankind.

That being said, I have watched a bit of it now via internet videos (Prob like a third of the total show) and I was bugged by a couple things:

I didn't like the throne spot either. It's too early to be taking shots. They should have risen above that and just ran their show. If WWE starts taking more liberal shots at them, then they can start responding. I just didn't like the feel of it being done this early on in the promotion. If they end up failing for whatever reason it will be an ironic moment to look back at.

And sticking with my argument from a couple days ago....I don't like Jericho going over....and having that be the place where Moxley debuted made it even worse for me. You have a WWE legend and first undisputed champion going over "The Guy" in your company in a match being announced by WWE's most prolific announcer and then you have a post match beat down from a former WWE champion.....all while trying to present yourself as an alternative to WWE. I. Don't. Get. It.

Other than those things though I was impressed and entertained by what I did watch. Gonna watch more of it as I find it over the next couple days. So far I am very optimistic about AEW's chances at making it and becoming a viable competitor to WWE. That's still a couple years off at least in the states but I think they can quickly make inroads and challenge WWE in the foreign market much much quicker than that, especially with that British TV deal.
