MJF is obviously slighted by the choice and costs his best friend Cody his shot at the AEW Championship.
Based on character I can't see MJF being happy having to dress up in nerd Star trek gear and be Cody's lackey and be happy about it. I thought he was turning on Cody in the Spears match given they kept mentioning him and his poor timing of distracting Hebner allowing Cody to get beat up.
