Imagine Vince saying this in the 80s. I get that you have to put over your own company and self interests, but to then try to whitewash the entirety of the consequenses just smacks of blatant bullshit. Yeah, they ran off shady promotions. They also ran off ones who were attempting to be legit but without the bankroll or clout to stave off WWE and thier venue exclusivity (that nobody in the world dare challenged ever until that one ROH/NJPW show in NY) and talent poaching nonsense.

They love always trying to tell people they're the heroes of their own story.
