Wonder if WWE got way too over confident about NXT's chances to rebound and felt they didn't need the main roster's Road to Rumble rub unlike what they did for Survivor Series. If Worlds Collide was meant to be the Rumble replacement for outside interest, it failed to do so.
I don't think it being taped mattered that much due to the uniqueness of the venue.
