The Giant chokeslammed DDP through the WCW entryway platform, and I seriously thought that DDP (my favorite wrestler at the time) was going to be hospitalized and done with wrestling.
I remember a Nitro when all throughout the broadcast they were saying that the President would be making an appearance at the end of the show. It ended up being Hollywood Hogan and he ran his mouth about being the next President of the United States. The sad thing is, I actually thought he was legit.
Sting comes back to WCW after a long, long absence and wins the World Title from DDP in the first hour of Nitro. This was the only time I literally jumped out of my seat and started celebrating during wrestling. The title was put on the line later that night in a fatal fourway match in which DDP won the belt back. I was so fucking pissed that I broke my remote control.
Rey Mysterio vs. Ric Flair - World Title Match -
It was during one of those Nitro broadcasts in Florida when they were outside and had the ring in the middle of a swimming pool. I was the biggest Mysterio mark back then, and Flair is such a great wrestler that he had me and every one of those fans on the edge of their seats, because we actually believed that Rey might pull it off. Mysterio hit a beautiful huricanrana on Flair and covered him for a 2 count before Arn Anderson pulled the ref out of the ring causing the DQ finish.
