Lucha Underground did try to Thanos itself during its last season with the whole Matanza murdering a bunch of LU guys but that somehow led to Jake Hager and Wade Barrett revealing themselves to be possessed by evil spirits or were evil spirits disguised as regular people.
Now that I think back, LU was pretty weird at times but was still packed with quality entertainment during the few years it was around.
