Assuming WWE really does go forward with breaking up Alexa and Nikki, that would leave the Women's Tag division with just Sasha Banks & Bayley and The IIconics. Both heel teams and one is pretty much a huge non-factor in terms of interest.
Even including NXT for some depth adds like just 1 team with Dakota Kai & Rachel Gonzalez. Also another notable heel tag team.
That's how dire WWE's Women's tag division has become in terms of depth and quality.

When has the Women's Tag Division ever had depth and quality? Depth and quality is an internet myth about the functionality of this thing. It was an idea to "rah rah" around women's wrestling and give more women turns at doing "something." At the moment, they are being used as a vehicle to allow Sasha Banks & Bayley to appear on whatever show they want them on.
Was it a bad idea from the start? I was saying so back then. But it depends on your perspective. It's the same with the NXT NA Title. They've kept those belts around for over a year just floating about. They'll make up a random babyface team when they want a random babyface team to take them. That's the way it's been from the start and the way it'll go into the future.
