Dude. I know what mixing refers to. You can set the levels AS YOU RECORD. Take it from someone who's spent time as a RECORDING TECHNICIAN.

You're a total moron with no idea what he's arguing about.

It takes all of 5 minutes tops to set up a balanced mix for recording. You don't even NEED to mix afterwards if you're good, as a good band can manage the same levels throughout.

Though I doubt you've ever recorded before, or you'd probably know this. This isn't even a very advanced recording technique. But why would you take 5 minutes to sound a tiny bit professional, or understand your equipment well enough to bother...That would be intelligent and professional.
