When WWE puts established stars they’ve just signed in Battle Royals, it sucks, but AEW is so smart they make it so different. Cannot wait to see Christian Cage add PRESTIGE to a Battle Royal. Take note, WWE!
Cody Rhodes’ promos are so good they bring a tear to my eye. He’s certainly captured the spirit of his father. Anthony Ogogo is a future mega-star waiting to happen. His Peaky Blinders music and gut punch as a finisher are just bad-ass. Usually I hate it when the WWE brings in a British boxing champion, but AEW made this so different by sending Ogogo to wrestling school with QT Marshall for a long time.
Serena Deeb vs. Riho should be a modern women’s classic that puts the WWE and their bull-dinky “Women’s Revolution” to shame.
Speaking of women’s action: has their been a better built-up women’s feud than Britt Baker and Hikaru Shida? Lol, WWE tried jamming Asuka down our throats, but I’m glad AEW gave us a real joshi warrior in Shida. Pretty sure it’s time for Britt Baker to take the belt though. She’s like Charlotte Flair but with more personality and she doesn’t win all the time.
Tag team wrestling actually matters in AEW! Where else are you going to see two guys that have just been in the main event scene team together after just feuding? I have no clue who is going to win out of The Young Bucks and Moxingston, but it should be INSANE!
Speaking of tag team action: Sting in 2021. STING! This is going to kick so much ass. I mean, I wasn’t so much of a Sting fan in later days WCW or TNA or the WWE, but it’s so cool that AEW are letting him actually wrestle, as opposed to the shitty WWE who wouldn’t let him go out there. Something about his neck or something. It doesn’t matter if Sting doesn’t even do anything — this will be awesome!
This is how genius AEW is: They brought in Miro as a funny guy. He wore silly clothes, got upset about silly things, but NOW he is focused. And he looks amazing. And NO ONE saw it coming. Well, unless you watched WWE, but we don’t count there. He and Lance Archer are going to tear the house down. Lol at Davey Boy Smith, Jr. probably going to the WWE. I think AEW got the better half of The Killer Elite Squad.
Adam Page has been handled so well by AEW. Everyone thought he was going to be in-line for the AEW Title (the true World Title in professional wrestling), but AEW saw that coming and have put him on the cooler so that no one will see his eventual rise coming. Genius. You can’t be too predictable. When WWE cools hot acts, you just know it is because of bad booking. He and Brian Cage should get all their shit in and tear the house down. The future of wrestling here. Just a shame this isn’t for the FTW Title.
The main event is going to be AWESOME! When was the last time we saw a Triple Threat in the main event of a PPV for the World Title?! And we’re getting PAC, who the WWE misused by only building two shows around him, and Orange Cassidy, who WWE never would have hired because they take themselves so seriously because they are stuck in the past. The closest we would have gotten to this is if Roman Reigns (the Kenny Omega/Don Callis rip-off act) vs. Finn Balor vs. Santino Marella. Lol, imagine how they would fuck that up. Omega is the best wrestler in the world, so I cannot wait to see how he not only makes this match a classic, but the whole card better.
Double or Nothing should really be called Triple or Nothing, because it’s going to be the best PPV of 2021 no doubt.
