In more “Dave Meltzer’s balls are for busting” news: Dave was going on one of his “Well, ACTUALLY...” soaps on Twitter and, of all people, drunken ass Chris Jericho came in to correct Dave, possibly not realizing that Dave’s whole agenda was to make AEW look like some sort of promised land.

It was in regards to talent choosing AEW over WWE. Basically, Dave said that all the talent had chosen to leave WWE for AEW, except for Brodie Lee, but he was released when his contract was expiring, so it was definitely his choice. Rusev was in the same boat but Meltzer missed that. Jericho’s correction was that he hadn’t been under contract with the WWE for 18 months by the time he signed with AEW.

It’s not a giant thing, like conflating PPV numbers, lying about their creative, lying about the New Japan relations, etc. But it’s just more in the pattern of this guy either no longer having a clue or being so far in AEW’s corner that he will just spin anything.

“The second least good match on the show.”
