I agree with this 100%.

Take WWE out of the equation and just look at AEW as a TV show. This is a TV show that debuted less than 2 years ago with a 1.4 rating. They have not come within 300,000 Viewers since, minus the first night NXT was no longer on, when they got a 1.2.

Both those ratings would suggest that people gave them a look, and did not come back. It is all the proof needed to show that this company is not growing a fanbase.

AEW operates in this weird bubble where they intended to do self promotion to draw fans, but instead truly believe their own hype, so much so that they are confrontational with anybody who tries to suggest improvement. They believe in their own hype so much so that they ignore the fact that they are not growing, that what they are doing is perfect across the board, and that they have no reason to try and get better.

They have their cheerleaders like Meltzer and Bleacher Report reporters that validate their opinions, and when they get on a show with a unbiased person who asks them legit questions, they spaz out like Tony Khan did with Bully Ray.

The Young Bucks have quit Twitter how many times because they cant handle criticism, them come back and mock Big E for a WWE list that says New Day is the best tag team.

You got Kenny Omega on Twitter bashing fans that arent blind supporters every other day.

Jericho is still crying over Shotzi Blackheart posting a gif 2 months ago, and saying he would prevent her from getting a job because of it.

These are not likeable people.
