And no that argument does not apply in most cases. If I work at Deloitte and leave, I am not going to try and get a job at Ernst & Young by constantly bashing Deloitte. The logical deduction would be that Ernst & Young would not hire me for being unprofessional.
Does it work for potential AEW employment? The obvious answer is yes, which is why they all do it. They do it to stroke the ego of their potential new boss, and they do it to placate to the fanbase.
Its neither good or bad, its just the normal process.
