The Roman thing was their own fault, though. Instead of embracing a heel run, they kept trying to dig in and solidify him as the new Cena style babyface who overcomes all odds and doesn't give a shit about the obvious backlash, which was heeling him to the masses from sheer goddamn spite. They finally turned the guy literal years later when they could have been reaping the benefits of his hero redemption. Basic classic storytelling, and they forgot that shit trying to please shareholders.

Corbin was just exposed and overexposed. Funny how he was over with his "timed" NXT squash matches. Once he started having longer matches, everyone could see the emperor's lack of clothes and that he was pretty shit. It took him a long time to even improve in the ring (way too long into his main roster run, honestly). From a lot of backstage rumors, he's apparently a really nice guy, and he's obviously down to do whatever dumb shit they write for him, but if he didn't look the way he does (read: tall) he would have been housecleaned a few WrestleMania's ago and nobody would've cared.
