AEW is doing exactly what WWE does, bring in a star from the past and pop a rating increase for a few weeks. Getting casual lasped fans to watch once in a while is good, but it never leads to sustained ratings.

I can see a path where you are right. But the wrestling industry has changed so much throughout history. I think we've been stalled since WCW went down, nobody other than TNA had a real shot at making a footprint. AEW is working on that. WCW didn't top WWF for years. I guess like 5 years if you count since Turner bought JCP, but much longer if you consider JCP.
