That’s the first time I’ve watched a rival promotion and felt a moment was “big time” since I was a kid watching WCW. They filled up a major arena, featured a big star getting an authentic emotional response. If AEW can keep the stupid shit to a minimum, CM Punk and Bryan Danielson can easily be a game changer for them. TNA had a lot of big stars, but they debuted in a sound stage in front of 500 people. You can’t look at that segment and not see AEW as a legitimate major promotion. Not saying AEW is gonna beat WWE anytime soon, but every other promotion since the fall of WCW has struggled to not look and feel second rate.
