star trek: lower decks
just finished its second season this weekend. love this show so much

i was cautious about it when it was announced, bc i was worried about what tone it would strike, but they have nailed it

def my favourite trek series right now. when it ribs the previous shows it does so with a genuine love that makes it hard not to like. and the writers' knowledge of obscure throwback shit is superb. cast and characters are great. dunno, love everything about the show tbh

(this is not a discovery bashing thread. i really like discovery too. it's a different show with different goals and i think it took them 3 seasons to get to where they want to be but i am keen for season 4)

anyway lower decks absolutely rules, you should watch it if you haven't. thanks
