There was no stereotypical behavior with students -- the "jocks" did not mistreat everyone else, only wedgieing the one kid, but they did that to each other as well, therefore they had no teenage stereotypes... I mean, the best example is the Samnang video, the jocks all cheered. I thought that was a relatively subtle way the movie was superior to almost every teen comedy. It was more real in that sense. It had the reality of "the loser has pretty damn cool friends," with the absolute unreality of the main conflict - "Loser falls for porn star and becomes awesome."
It could have easily been another teen movie and may have done better in the box office, IMO, if it dealt with the stereotypical conflicts that most teen comedies have.
Plus, Elisha is hot on video, watching SCREEN CAPS of her is for fags, bro.
