Yeah this too. I was in 6th grade when Power Rangers was at it's peak and it caused me to fail both math and social studies. I would purposely lie about having homework just to watch the show.


That resulted in me being forced (by a parent) to bring both books home every night and go through an entire chapter by myself. This is, I think, when I really started teaching myself everything, as my parents were too dumb to understand the math I was doing. One of my older brothers was running the streets with gangs at this time and the other just didn't give a shit.
