I think Dave has gone too far in that direction, especially when contrasted against praise for AEW (which isn’t as critically well-received as he’ll make out), because I genuinely think it’s locked him out of having sources in the WWE at all. And the AEW guys are so close to him they treat him like a super-fan. He never breaks anything anymore. He’s just got these sycophantic opinions and a bit of a readership who, for some reason, takes them seriously, even though they are demonstrably baseless.
I used to subscribe to The Observer, for maybe 5 or 6 years, maybe more I don't know. It was really interesting to me for a time but at some point it was obvious that Dave wasn't the "foremost" insider any more and "just an analyst" with a lot of friends in wrestling.

Obviously Meltzer slants towards his audience because in all likelihood it's a dwindling subscription, his board reflects his subscribers and it's quite inactive these days compared to normal. Still much more active than this board but dead for how busy it normally was.

I still have a board account there for some reason even though I haven't paid for years.

I don't even care to read Meltzer's star ratings, it's bullshit anyway. The anime main event NJPW style kinda changed the game and made it impossible to go faster and harder and longer.

I don't know why you guys are always talking about Meltzer like what he says matters. He's just an old wrestling fan who lives on the austisim spectrum and has bad pimples and is like 60.
