More talented than most they were...but they were in the right place during the right time.
A poor singing voice, and minimal guitar skills will only get you so far for so long. Nirvana would have had to change their tune, all bands who last long periods of time cant keep releasing the same stuff over and over. Kurt didnt have anything else to offer.
