I think most people agreed the way he handled Big Swole was shitty.

As far as Lio leaving, once again, we don't know why Lio left. He doesn't strike me as someone to hold his tongue, so if Tony fucked him over, I'm pretty sure we would have heard from him about it by now. Lio being a headache to work with is a known issue. So that could have factored into the departure.

As for black talent being treated fairly, no they are not booked very well. Most people aren't, regardless of skin color. Because Tony Khan is a fan who bought himself a wrestling promotion.

Is Jay Lethal replacing Lio tokenism? Maybe? Maybe Tony went " hey another black guy! Perfect!" Or maybe Jay Lethal, as a veteran more experienced than rush, who can also talk was an even better fit for the role. And he just happens to be black. Point is we don't know. So it's not fair to accuse. Unless you're so terrified of tokenism that you believe a role played by a black man can never be portrayed by another black man.
