I've always compared it to the first Portal game. Each seemed like just the first step into what could actually be achieved with the concept. You were only getting a glimpse but there was even greater stuff to come if it was handled right. Portal 2, of course, knocked it out of the park. Mirror's Edge: Catalyst, not so much, which was a disappointment. It seemed to take a step back for every step forward.
