All the other Burnout games have a dedicated crash mode. It's more of a top down/three-quarters isometric view. It lays out a bunch of scenarios in places with intersections, parking garages, lots of elevation changes. Your goal is too get as many points as possible by wreaking havoc on the area. The cool thing is to start the crash you usually explode your car and send it hurtling into the area you are targetting...but you can control the direction of your car as its flying out of control. There are power ups you can collect like a second explosion and point multipliers and the like hidden throughout the areas to help you keep shit going and amass your target points. It is an incredible game mode.

Some of the devs tried to make an indie version of basically the crash mode a few years ago. It was very scaled back tho tbh. Cant remember the name of it.
