So if, say, Moxley wins but then loses to Punk, Punk’s reign will be recognized as having never ended and Moxley’s reign never actually happened. But if Moxley beats Pink, Punk’s reign retroactively ends when Moxley became interim champion and Moxley’s reign retroactively begins then.
