Keeping him around at this point has to be absolutely terrible for the locker room. No one will ever have any respect around there for management or their coworkers with that kind of bullshit being allowed to go down like it did.
And while you say the bucks are just goofy nerds playing wrestler with their friends, at least they are putting in effort. Either Punk legit does not have it anymore, which is a distinct possibility given his age and how long he sat out, or he is phoning it in 98% of the time. His work since returning has easily been the sloppiest of his entire career. He has no stamina and is nearly guaranteed multiple noticeable botches in every match. He's been back over a year, he should have been gotten some of his stamina back and worked off the rust but he still looks terrible. So either he just can't anymore or he isn't trying. At this point I'd take the Bucks/Kenny over Punk 999 times out of 1000. The only thing Punk has is that he generates interest when he goes into business for himself and drops "pipebombs", but even that wears thin when he inevitably just cuts the same promo every week for the next 6 months.

I dunno man, it’s not unreasonable to see CM Punk as someone standing up to toxic management. These rumors have circulated The Bucks for the longest time, and it’s a fair criticism of AEW that its EVPs have gotten in the way of AEW’s greater success so that they can have their vanity project. The lockerroom is probably way more split than it is on one side. And did he shoot on them, or did they storm into his lockerroom looking for a fight?
Wait to see how this plays out and what more comes out about the altercation. The first wave is going to be the “Punk is an asshole stories.” The Bucks have their fingers in Dave Meltzer pretty deep.
