Aspect ratio is major for me but im a huge fan of cinematography so frame composition is very important.

You bring up a good point about editing. I think with the gaming industry we already a lot of post market modifications and that could likely grow over time. Not just patches but regional censorship or even licensing deals expiring. In the modern era you could go back to an older title and find content changed or removed entirely.

I feel like this is a very likely future. And with ad space being sold in games as well. This gen will see advertisements place on in game content. Like a billboard for instance. The content shown however wont be one and done. It will be updated regularly in real time.

I dont view this negatively mind you but when you view this as an artistic medium its odd to think that in 20 years the experience wont be able to be revisited in a purists form. Like trying to watch the original star wars cut today. Nearly edited out of existence.

In some sense you get into a ship of theseus issue. Looking at something like the Last of Us 2nd remaster changing mechanics. If a game doesnt play the same is it the same game?

And wrestling is a great example. Look at wcw and ecw content when re-released. RVD not entering to walk. DDP having generic house music. Hollywood Hogan coming out to the standard NWO theme. It all feels bad. A piece of what it was is gone.

Obviously im not saying digital is bad but there's a lot of draw backs and in 10 years or there won't be many work arounds.
