Meltzer is reporting that there are legal issues holding up The Elite returning to television. He’s, uh, not doing his buddies any favors there, is he? If there were legal issues, they’d probably be confidential to parties involved, so The Bucks and/or Omega blabbing about this is exactly the point. Unless Meltzer is just flat-out lying, which still makes his buds look bad.

But it’s reasonable to deduce that Punk has got them all by the balls. I’m so curious as to see how this all plays out. Whatever you want to say about Punk, he’s always used the plight of other talent to justify his actions (whether genuine or a smokescreen). A lot of marks on the internet are framing this as Punk being selfish, but I can definitely see him framing it as a cause. Get rid of the toxic management and persuade Tony Khan to better utilize talent using the leverage he’s got. Either that or “let my people go.”
